Mud Hero will be held at Martock July 6, 2013!

"Mud Hero brings obstacle racing to the Maritimes at Ski Martock; just 45 minutes west of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ski Martock is the perfect venue for this event with hills, forest, swamps and challenging terrain. Canada’s favourite obstacle series will make a giant splash in Halifax, don’t miss out!"

It will be a 6 KM individual adventure race for ages 20 - 40. Organizers expect 4000 participants. 


A football program will be available for kids this year, according to Recreation, Tourism and Development Director Karrie Ritchie. 

The town website was launched Feb. 19. Check it out at hantsportnovascotia.com
CAO Rob Frost and Karrie will maintain it. It is a work in progress and needs new pics. The key is to keep the site FRESH.

COMMUNITY FAIR - SUNDAY MARCH 3 - will provide citizens of the town and area the chance to network with various services and organizations in the town. So far, almost 20 organizations are participating - including those looking for members - ie. Hantsport Fire Department, the Lions. Organizers are RCMP Dan Austin and HFD member Marion Jamer.

Aaron Cumberland will be organizing tennis camps and tournaments in town this summer. He has been working with other towns in the province where the interest in the game has fallen.
