I find Council's response to not rescind the parking regulations at the Hantsport Post Office most disappointing. Having read the letter to Council from Rich Fuchs and the excellent points that he made, and coupled with the testimony about the observations the Hantsport Post Staff made concerning the situation, re: the trucking issue, I cannot understand at all why Council wasn't persuaded to reconsider the ban they have put in place. To say that it is a "safety" issue to me bears absolutely no resemblance to the facts presented. I can honestly say that not one person I have spoken to (and there have been many) think Council's decision was a wise or necessary one. I believe it is encumbent upon Council to more adequately defend their decision with substantive facts and reasons.
