To My Little Town

To my little Town people came and people went. To a little port that was heaven sent.
In my little town there were pulp yards, brick yards lumber yards and Indian grave yards.

There were ghosts and goblins running thru the streets
Hungry for the next trick or treat.

Children playing with skipping ropes and marbles.
In my little town there were snow fights, open ice rinks,
Little league baseball, coasting parties, swimming.
People singing carols on the sidewalks cleared of snow in my little town. There were bobby socks, penny loafers and straight leg jeans
All the rage during the early scene.
Boys forgot to cut their hair and most didn’t care in my little town. There were apple trees, cherry trees and even a peach tree.
In the park there were square dances and youthful laughter Parades, soap box derbys in my little town

ladies in white satin waving from on high once a year as people drew near. During summer there was dancing at the school and at the park after dark. And when the nights turned cool there were more dances inside the school and Also in the hall where no fire dared to fool in my little town.
