School's Annual Holiday Dinner

Hantsport School hosts 4th Annual Holiday Dinner for Students and Staff
For the past six years, the staff at Hantsport School, though the generous donations of community businesses and school fundraising, have served a full turkey dinner to all students, staff and community guests and volunteers. It began four years ago when Heather Schofield, a staff member at the school decided she wanted to raise money and put on a turkey dinner and provide gifts for less fortunate families
Beginning the day before, staff prepares the vegetables, stuffing and gravy. On the morning of the dinner, all the tables and chairs are set up and decorated to accommodate close to 200 students, staff and guests. The turkey arrives all sliced and bundled, and at noon, it’s all set to begin. A large assembly line is set up with servers running plates of food to seated students. This all happens in less than 25 minutes.
Also this year, it will be festive spirit day and everyone is encouraged to wear red and or green and dress for the occasion.
Proceeds from our annual craft expo also go towards this project.
Come see all the good things happening at Hantsport School this Wednesday, December 18 at 12 noon.
