COW: 2. changes to July 1st race and street parade.

The town will be advertising two brand new routes for the road races and for the street parade.

The new route for the July 1st road races has ben altered for the safety of the runners, Community Development, Tourism, and Recreation Director Karrie Ritchie told the COW meeting on May 22.   The route will involve the town core, Avon Street Extension, Avon Street, Cottage Street and Foundry Road.

 The Beazley and Robertson families approve the new route. It will eliminate running hills and racers running in traffic.

Both the Beazley and Robertson races will start at the same time at Prince Street.

The Childrens' Parade will start at the same time as the races.  It will start at St. Mary's Catholic Church and proceed down Chittick Street to the school. The race route and parade route are completely separate. Parking regulations will be strict.
