I will be attending on May 10 at 10 AM at the clock tower in Wolfville. Maybe a
notice in your fine blog might inform others. Subject: Defend our Climate. From: 350@350.org To: rosshh@live.ca Date: Wed, 30 Apr 2014 18:18:09 +0000
Friends,
Climate change is not a fight against pollution, but a fight against polluters -- starting with those right here in Canada. Climate change is expected to cost Canada upwards of $43 billion within the next 35 years -- and that's just the cost in dollars. The human toll of rising waters, hunger and displaced communities can't be counted. What's more, the Canadian government and their friends in industry are making the problem worse, with an onslaught of tar sands, pipeline and fracking schemes. On May 10th people all across Canada are standing up to defend our communities from pipelines, dirty energy projects and runaway climate change.Canada is at a crossroads, and we need to make sure our country builds a sustainable economy that works for all. Will you join in on the 10th to help make it happen?

350.org is jumping in to support this day of action, which was called by an ever-growing network of national and local groups organizing against extreme energy across Canada. Last fall, thousands rallied at over a hundred Defend our Climate actions -- and this spring even bigger, bolder things are planned.Tar Sands, fracking, pipelines and other extreme energy projects threates the climate and our communities -- on May 10th, let's put the polluters in power on notice that business as usual is on its way out. See you then and there. Sincerely, Cameron Fenton P.S. Though you may recognize the name from my work with CYCC, I'm excited to say that as of May 1st I officially join 350.org’s staff to work on Canadian campaigns to end expansion of tar sands mining.
