Both CLLR Faye Hill and DM Bulger want more information about the taxes which will be levied by either West Hants or Kings on the residents of Hantsport. It should include the town $1 million debt, street lights, and Holmes Hill. Hantsport residents will be responsible for paying for Hantsport's infrastructure, according to CAO Rob Frost.

Mayor Rob Zwicker is counting on significant financial support from the province. "Canso got a good deal," he said.

Once the town is dissolved, DM Harold Bulger is concerned about the future of HMCC and the school. The Mayor dismissed his concerns.

The Mayor read a letter from Eleanor Caldwell on School Street complaining about the condition adjacent to hers. She had written the town before without receiving a reply or any action. The town now has a part-time by-law officer, according to the Mayor.
