The other day I decided enough was enough. I had a screen window which I would not use because it had a tear in it. This meant flies etc could circle me while I write this blog. It also meant that the hot summer sun coming in the patio door made me so hot I felt it was in Mexico in July.
So, I asked myself, "Self, does anyone local replace the screen in a screen window?" I thought that Home Hardware might.
I asked Ryan at store. "We do." I rushed home to get the offending screen.
In less than 24 hours, I had a new screen in my window. And as I write, I am enjoying the fresh air. This is the only window in my house without a spectacular view but it lets lovely fresh air in.
Glorious fresh air! |
I suggested to Joyce that HH put together a list of the invisible-to-me chores that they do. Here it is:
- replace screens in windows and doors;
- cut glass or lexan for windows and picture frames.
- cut keys
- replace watch batteries
- replace flashlight batteries and bulbs
- rent roto tiller, BBQ, lawn roller
- deliver
- offer a rack of business cards of local businesses
- sells and deliver major appliances
When in doubt, ask the HH staff. If they can't do it, they will likely know who can!
