SKATEBOARD / SCOOTER PARK

Airborne!

I have seen and am seeing more activity in this town since council voted to dissolve the town than I saw in my previous 22 years here.

Examples:
-winter carnival was a success
-Hantsport Homecoming -  success
-pool continues for another year - another success
-library to be located - a work in progress
-dog park attracts people and their K9s from beyond the town.
- And now a skateboard and scooter park on the basketball court.!

Some  equipment was donated but most of it is hauled in and out freely by Ernest Singleton. "I just want to keep the kids safe off the streets."

I visited the park on Wednesday. The kids love it. "It's handy - we don't need to go to Windsor."

The kids do tricks which they picked up on youtube.

It's good exercise. It teaches them co-ordination and balance. It's fun. And it's outside.

The one problem will soon be solved. Many cars drive around the tennis court on their way to the pool and Churchill House. A barrier will soon be erected to protect the kids from the traffic.

The threat of dissolution has brought out the best in us!

"Wait for me."

A trick.

Barrier will be located in line with the hole cover and parallel to the tennis court.

Considering what to do next.

Girls seem to be in the monority but they are there!
