Library's Ryan to the rescue!

Friday morning I tried to turn on the internet but the message came up - YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET.'

What a way to start the day!

I checked all my connections.

I called Eastlink. They ran a check. No problem.  It was about 8:10 AM.

In spite of everything I could think off - between periods of shovelling snow - I was still off it at 7: 30 PM.

Luckily I had an appointment at the Hantsport Public Library with IT specialist Ryan that evening. I had it because I wanted to neuk my KOBO. (Anyone want to buy a little-used KOBO?)

At the library last night, I could not access my email - computer would not accept either/or my email address or my password. And we tried everything!!!

Ryan suggested that when I went home I disconnect my router (sp?), wait 30+ seconds, and reconnect. And it worked. And my email address and my password worked.

I immediately called Ryan - "Everything is a GO!"

So, here I am, spreading the word. The library has had an IT specialist to help for several years - NO CHARGE - as Stacey of Stacey's Jamboree used to say.

PS I don't know Ryan's last name but he is currently studying chemistry at Acadia and lives in Windsor. And yes he works at the library on Friday nights!

ADDED: That's Ryan Greenham.
