BarberShop BaseBall - a home run for Brian

Brian Bishop launched his book BarberShop BaseBall on Wednesday night to a standing room only crowd at the Churchill House. Jud Porter of the Hantsport and Area Historical Society introduced the local author. Many more than 100 people jammed into the house to celebrate the book which is a history of the Hantsport Shamrocks. One hundred and sixty (!)  books were sold that night. The profits will be shared 50:50 between the Friends of the Hantsport Public Library and the Memorial Gardens at the Riverbank Cemetery, maintained by the Hantsport and Area Historical Society.

Former Shamrock players, managers, perhaps future players, fans and family attended showing their love and enthusiasm. Brian reflected that same love and enthusiasm - and his sense of humour - as he introduced his book.
Reading the book as soon as possible.

Many longtime loyal fans attended.

The Ladies Barbershop Quartet sang.

Hannah MacCormack, Brian's grand-daughter, illustrated the book.

(Added) One a grand slam home run ball hit by Carson Ellis in 1962   and the other a ball caught by Alvin Ells to end a game in Parsboro in 1947
Two significant balls will be donated to the Hantsport & Area Historical Society.
People are hoping to start  Shamrocks Memorabilia Collection.

Everyone joined in to sing Brian's version of Take Me Out To The Ball Game. (See words below)
