Cancer's Sale of Daffodils surpasses expectations!

The shipment of daffodils for the Canadian Cancer Society sale arrived in an unsaleable condition.

Wheet Wilcox, the sale's organizer, had plastic daffodil pins for sale. Would people buy them?

They certainly did!  Local people donated $857.40!  This was more than half of last year's donations, according to Wheet.

"People were fantastic! The volunteers gave their time freely and the donors have their money freely. Without the real flowers, the experience was different this year. But people knew about the missing daffodils. We are still Hantsport - a good caring community".
