FISH BITS WEDNESDAY EVENINGS AT SURF!

Returning and new servers and cooks include
(LR) Morgan Parsons, Ron Carpenter, and Tracey Kelly.

"Fish bits are on the menu on Wednesday evenings. I'm sticking with the same menu for now. And several servers and cooks have returned," according to Melinda Roast, owner of Surf Restaurants, Inc. which opened this week on Main Street in Hants Border. It is glutten-friendly.

Open from 8 AM - 8 PM 7 days a week, it features lunch specials - soup, a sandwich, and beverage   for $10, tax included Mondays thru Fridays from 11 AM - 2 PM. And the laundromat is open again.

"People come in and ask if we are closing next winter. We are open 12 months of the year. And where did the name Surf come from? I've been in marketing and I wanted one work with either an 'S' or a 'K' because it would stick in people's minds. I considered several but 'Surf' was my favourite.

Melinda was raised just outside Kentville and currently lives on the Bluff Road. She lived in Alberta and Saskatchewan. And has travelled extensively.

Her experience includes marketing, owning her own business, running businesses for others, and being involved in the service industry.

Asked why she named her business Surf Restaurants, Inc., she stated that she is not in a chain. She simply wants to be the sole proprietor. And she may open another one in the future.
