FAST-ROTTING DOGGIE BAGS

I have two lovely big dogs.
I pick up their poop.

These bags take 100 years to biodegrade, according to an article in today's paper.

I could just leave their poop where they leave it but I don't.

According to the same paper, today's biodegradable bags take 180 days to biodegrade.

SOLUTION:

A group of Truro students are trying to raise $15,000 they can pitch their product which

BIODEGRADES IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS IN A COMPOST HEAP!!!

… this is not good...

…so serious the referee leaves...

…but referee can't tear himself away...

…a  second referee is called in ...

…the final blow...

…loser beats a hasty retreat...

Is Hantsport "a community of special interest"?

Nova Scotia Utility And Review Board's recently decided that it is.

West Hants is to give this status to Hantsport.

Hantsport is to retain its own councillor.

Hantsport's current boundaries will remain as they are.

The citizens' group Think Hantsport likes the decision. It maintains that the issue of polling districts was  not adequately addressed prior to dissolution.

However, the Municipality of West Hants plans to appeal this.

Warden Dauphinee maintains that his community of Three Mile Plains is also "a community of special interest". And no doubt the people of Brooklyn feel the same about their community.

It is estimated, according to the April 28, 2016 issue of the Hants Journal, that the cost of the appeal will be $20,000 - $25,000. The decision may not be made before the October 2016 municipal election.

No appeal was allowed by the UARB when it dissolved Hantsport.

THE LUSTY MONTH OF MAY!

(A few days late  but - it's May! From the musical CAMELOT)
Tra la! It's May!
The lusty month of May!
That lovely month when ev'ryone goes
Blissfully astray.
Tra la! It's here!
That shocking time of year
When tons of wicked little thoughts
Merrily appear!
It's May! It's May!
That gorgeous holiday
When ev'ry maiden prays that her lad
Will be a cad!
It's mad! It's gay!
A libelous display!
Those dreary vows that ev'ryone takes,
Ev'ryone breaks.
Ev'ryone makes divine mistakes
The lusty month of May!
