Hi Heather two letters posted today on the NSURB,,  M06209.. Letters are dated  as follows April 8 2015 and April 9,2015  these are post hearing submissions. You should encourage the citizens to read both if they can. The following is a copy of  a letter to Elaine Wagner , NSURB  from Duane Eddy  and let me  say that this is  a copy of the conclusion of that letter.. It is NOT the Decision of the Board  however both letters are very informative.        CONCLUSION [51] The fact that the Town of Hantsport is not financially sustainable is borne out by the evidence, inclusive of the financial analysis prepared by Grant Thornton, which was corroborated by both financial consultants retained by the Board. Moreover, Greg Strange of Levy Casey Carter MacLean in his testimony on cross-examination supported dissolution with West Hants, as the preferred model. Given the financial and infrastructure challenges facing the Town it is both “necessary and expedient” to order the dissolution of Hantsport and annexation with West Hants (non-village). [52] The province is cognizant of the social impact dissolution can have on all residents that are impacted by dissolution. However, the province is confident that a combined HantsportlWest Hants municipal unit will achieve increasing levels of economic growth and prosperity over the long term.
