Hantsport People Trail

Thankyou for supporting the Hantsport People Trail at the Hantsport Fair on Sunday.

            I have been in correspondence with Bob Schmidt the President of the Windsor Hantsport Railway who owns the line. He has indicated an interest in a trail on the portion from Hantsport to New Minas.

            I think we need to build support for the building of the trail and you can help by forwarding the attached brochure to all your e-mail contacts as well as your local, provincial and federal politicians.

            I discovered the joys of cycling when I retired 20 years ago and have cycled on beautiful trails in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, the Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Cape Cod, Arizona, Florida, etc., etc. We have a resource here which is as valuable as any in the world!

The Hantsport Trail could be a world class attraction because of its route along the highest tides in the world. I know that cycling as a recreation and tourist attraction is growing and we have a wonderful opportunity to develop this truly wonderful resource.

            The poster display you saw on Sunday is available – with brochures.  If you know of an appropriate event to show it, you are welcome to it – a church, school, business, etc.

            If you have any suggestions as to strategy to promote this project, I would appreciate them.
