Whose in charge? Concern about Halfway River flooding.

Hi Heather,     I’m responding to the your Article on the Possible Flooding of the Halfway River and glad that Brian brought this to our attention. For some of us who’ve recently arrived we’re not as observant as we should be in situations such as this.     I was speaking last week to one of the higher ups with CN about the Old Railway Station as I’ve been interested in this for Our Library or The William Hall VC Museum scenario ?    During our conservation I was made aware that the CN has abandoned the Railway here on January the 1st of this year.The process to liquidate their holdings, tracks , Rail Cars of which I counted 39 in our yard and the Old Station  has started already and believe me , by the sounds of it this will be time consuming!    With this is mind I think Peter Johnston’s of Public Works response would have been correct on Dec. 31st of 2012. This will have to be brought up again in Council because as pointed out in the pics , this won’t go way on it’s own , will it ? Cliff Williams in Hantsport
