Update on Shamrocks + threatening Heavens + pics May 26.

May 26

From Deron Moores on Sunday, June 2. - Shamrocks split the twinbill in Bridgewater today. Game 1 Jed hit a three run shot and Mike King hit a grand slam in a 10-2 win. In game two we fell behind 7-1 after the first inning and lost 8-4. Doug Fraser homered. After 4 games win are tied for first with Yarmouth and Noel Road with 3-1 records.

Pics are from the game on May 26. Remember how cold and really wet it was that week? No one expected the game to go ahead because the field was so wet. Early in the morning the game was going to be cancelled but Jeff and Craig said, "Maybe". And they were right.

Two loads of sand were put around each base and the batter's box because the ground was "soupy".

One of the Dartmouth Junior Tigers told me that all the fields in the city were closed that day. But he judged that the Hantsport field was in pretty good condition considering the weather.
