Proposed Seniors' Complex

The meeting at the fire hall started at 7pm last night. The presentation was given by Hugh Bray, Business Development Manager and  Stephen Vaslet, Project Manager, from MHPM Project Leaders,Halifax. This company provides Project Leadership for Long Term Care Projects. The purpose of the meeting was to provide information to the Town Council, other business owners in the town and also the citizens of the town regarding the  Long Term Care Facility Development Process. This meeting initally came about starting from Imagine Hantsport.. The meeting was extremely informative,covering  Continueing Care,The Eden Alternative Domains of Well-Being, and Residential Care Facilities For Seniors in Nova Scotia and the many benifits such a facility would have to Hantsport and the surrounding areas.  Hugh Bray and Steven Vaslet answered questions from those in attendance which included the Mayor, council, and the citizens in attendance. Those in attendance were  told by MHPM that the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness had announced more than 1100 new and replacement beds for Nova Scotia and in addition  funding for 1500 new home care spacesadding that our meeting with them was very timely..    (LR)  Mayor Robbie Zwicker,Hugh Bray(MHPM),Claude O'Hara, Steven Vaslet(MHPM),Bill Preston and Deputy Mayor Harold Bulger.
