No midway rides at July 1st. Library committee report April 1st.

Recreation Director Karrie Ritchie announced that there is no chance of midway rides on July 1st. They are too expensive. She made this announcement at town council's February committee of the whole meeting.

The library committee will make its presentation to Hantsport Council on April 1, 2014, according to Deputy Mayor and Chair of the Library Committee Harold Bulger. The committee will then make the same presentation to the three other municipal councils. Work has started on the preliminary designs. CAO Frost and the AVRL's Regional Librarian Frances Newman are looking into grants.

Richard Beazley made a presentation on behalf of his family and Arnold Robertson expressing their concerns about the July 1st races. They hope to meet with the July 1st committee.

CAO Rob Frost stated that Amy Melmock who works with incubation projects suggested that the town become more involved in projects involving tides and technology. To understand incubation see LINK
