To restore the Red Barn?
To mothball the Red Barn?
More than 30 people attended the public meeting on March 6 hosted by the board of the Hantsport Memorial Community Centre to discuss the future of the building.
Kimberley Reagan and Daniel Reagan of Timberhart Timber Frames shared their passionate opinions on the state of the barn and its future. The building and the roof are straight, according to Kimberley. She suggested that the community decide what its needs and energies are for the barn. The building has historical value and it would be criminal to demolish it, according to Daniel. No decision needs to be made for 2 to 5 years.

At the end of the meeting, people agreed that the board of HMCC will form a committee with public participation to study the Red Barn for 12 - 16 months. And it will consider how to raise money for the barn.
