Awesome Hantsport - first grant

The three finalists for the Awesome Hantsport and Area grant of $1000 will present their project ideas to the public on Sunday, September 21 at 6:30 PM at the Churchill House.

The finalists are:

• Marie Doucette: celebrating community project - Hantsport School grades 4/5
• Karen Peterson: paint the town
• Samara Millini: picnic park and bird boxes

 Six written submissions were presented to the Awesome Hantsport and Area trustees. The three who were not chosen are invited to apply for the next grant.

The top three were chosen to provide some details on what costs the $1000.00 grant will cover,  the overall anticipated budget, timeline for completion, partnering with groups, people, or businesses directly affected by your project and plans for community participation in the project.

The trustees were delighted to receive so many great ideas and look forward to announcing the next grant early in 2015.
