They're off and running!

Bill Preston, Jeff Starratt, and Phil Zamora are the candidates eager to fill Shannon Cunningham's post as councillor on Hantsport town council.

Bill has circulated a brochure outlining his platform. Jeff is out knocking on doors. And Phil has set up his office on Main Street.

hantsbordernews.ca will inform the public in various ways as the campaign unfolds. It is currently organizing a public meeting to allow the candidates to state their platforms and to encourage the public to ask questions. Details will be announced as soon as they are finalized.


Under the name NEWS & VIEWS, similar meetings were presented in the past. Residents and those living in outlying areas ( "Parasites" as Mayor Robbie Zwicker described them) attended in large numbers and participated.

This is proving to be the most interesting and significant election in town for many years. Thanks to all candidates for offering.
