Grade 4 & 5 in play June 23.

Mark June 23 on your calendar and plan to head over to the school at 6:30 p.m. to hear Ms. Doucette's Grade 4/5 class present "Travelling Through

Time."   Using the first grant money given out by the Hantsport Awesome Group, the students have been working over the past few months to learn

the history of our town.   Now, through music and script, they will perform for the public.   Music teacher, Roger Taylor has written the music to accompany the words of their songs that relate to many things that have gone on in our town's history.   Artist Elizabeth Sircom has led the students

through the accompanying art work that will be presented in the form of big books and will be around for many years to come.   Writer Sophia Beurbe

has also been part of the program assisting the students with the script.  

 

The students will have their dress rehearsal at 1 p.m. on the 22nd which is also open to the public.   This project was also supported by two other grants and it is sure to be an enjoyable night for everyone.   The P/1 class will open the concert with some songs and the rest of the elementary classes will be part of the choir supporting the cast.
