Regarding the article by Scott MacDonald on Hantsport , That gentleman started of talking about Hantsport this Town that is now a Community of West Hants. The start of his article was total negativity great way to talk about a community that has had the misfortune to go through dissolution. Even going as far as stating how difficult it is to get into Hantsport. Strange because you have to use different EXITS to get off the 101 for other towns and communities in this valley and other areas of Nova Scotia..He mentions Main Street and Avon Street we do have other fine streets we are not a 2 street community, but a compliment barely and I quote “ the homes, lawns and civic buildings look remarkably healthy and well cared for.” what did he expect we the citizens take pride in this is our home. Hantsport’s greatest asset is the citizens of Hantsport of which not much was said,. other assets is the New Library, The Swimming Pool the Dog Park and the Hantsport Shamrocks the baseball team. We have a lot going for us in this community 40 minutes from Halifax with country living so I for one do not take kindly to the thoughts portrayed in the article of Mr. Scott MacDonald. It is and remains the Haven of Hospitality and the meaning of hospitality is the quality or disposition of receiving guests and strangers in a warm, friendly ,generous way.
