Open letter to Councillor Zwicker

Dear Councillor Zwicker

It was great to see an article about Hantsport in The Chronicle Herald today.
Unfortunately it focused on what used to be in Hantsport. Today I spoke to a number of residents who agreed. That town died 20 years ago.
I suggest you call the paper and ask for another article on Hantsport as it is today.


  • the pool
  • HMCC
  • the dog park
  • Home Coming concert
  • the Gypsum Park
  • the school being renovated
  • the new library 
  • winter carnival
  • the rink
  • Harvest Fest
  • Winter carnival
  • BASEBALL!!!
  • etc

    I agree! Think the writer completely missed the mark! With a little research he would have discovered that Hantsport was held up as an example of a town with
    wonderful recreational facilities - second to no other town in NS, and those facilities
    plus more, still exist. Didn't see any mention of that!
