I posted this on my Barbershop Baseball page but for those who haven't discovered that one I thought I would post it here as well. This poster was made available to me today after a gentleman read John DeCoste's article in various Valley papers. It was discovered ( now get this) under the seat of a barber's chair in Windsor many years ago. The game advertised in the poster took place in 1935.
The Boston Colored Giants defeated the Shamrocks 9-1. Hantsport had 13 hits in the game. Unfortunately, you won't see this poster in the book but you will read about that game. Book due to be shipped next week if all goes well. Hoping to see many of you at the book launch on the 26th at Churchill House. Doors open at 6:30 for sales. Short program begins at 7PM.
