Margaret Romans was at a loss for words as she received the news earlier tonight. ( At that time we had not completed the tally) but assured her we expected to reach $12,000. A final figure revealed the total to be slightly over $13,100).
Contributions will continue to be received until the end of October and can be directly deposited into the Romans' Family Benefit account at Scotiabank.
The Benefit Committee was overwhelmed with the response of donation items for the auction, desserts and financial contributions. It was a great evening with a large number of enthusiastic bidders. A wonderful community response. God bless one and all.
