HMCC HOLIDAY EVENTS

The Chase the Ace continues each Friday Night at Churchill House - Bar opens at 6:30 Drinks are $4, Chase the Ace Tickets are 1 ticket for $5, 3 tickets for $10, 7 tickets for $20 with a bonus ticket if you bring a Food Bank item.

Christmas Gala Dinner - December 5th - A Fundraising Dinner with this year Honoring the Memory of Bill Preston.
$35 per Ticket.  Appetizer hour starts at 5:30 p.m.   3 course Dinner at 6:30 p.m.  Cash bar throughout the evening.  Cut the Deck fundraiser - purchase 1/2 cards for $5 each for your chance to win from a selection of prizes.

Decorating Gingerbread Houses and Cookie Party at Churchill House - December 12th 1-5 p.m.  All Gingerbread pieces, icings, and treats will be on hand (with guidance if necessary) to create your edible creations.  Refreshments and games or social time as pieces set for continued decoration or transportation.  $25 for Gingerbread Houses, $5 per cookie (they're big) or 4 cookies for $16.  Please book by December 6th

Lunch with Santa - December 19 at Churchill House.  Two settings 10-noon and 1-3.  Children will receive a lunch box filled with a meal, games, and more and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Pre booking necessary.

The Yoga Geek - Yoga every Sunday at Churchill House.  2 p.m. Chair Yoga for those with mobility issues or if traditional yoga is too difficult, 7 p.m. Beginner Yoga.  $10 drop in fee.

HMCC is having to pay for its own insurance and there are some new compliances we have to adhere to.  Monies are needed to cover issues like this and for basis operations and programming.  HMCC welcomes community participation into all goings on and if community members have particular interest in what any of the committees are doing - their input and help, at any level, would be much appreciated.


This is the community's Community Centre and Grounds.  The boundaries are Avonport through to Mount Denson.  If you live in this area - this is your community center:)

    Bill was a valued past member of the HMCC Board of Directors & will be missed.
    I wasn't aware Bill had passed .....he seemed quite well when I last saw him last.
    He was such a nice man, sometimes a little cranky but mostly harmless.
