Latest on the Food Bank and JUC bodg

The new owner is renovating as we speak with the goal of opening the end of next week.

Once she sees what room she requires, she is willing to talk with us to see if we could still find space to operate.

I have had two other calls asking how many square feet we require and with no specific location mentioned but with the promise to contact us next week---that is hopeful as well.

We cannot open anywhere without a coordinator, bottom line, so that is an even greater need that has gotten lost with all the building hoop-la!!

We feel we should wait until after people have had a Christmas break before doing anything more than get the word out re our immediate need of a coordinator as I don’t feel I should make a decision, even on location, for a new group of people or at least a new coordinator.

Our food is safe in the old building but will not be easily accessible while renovations are proceeding so expect that the food bank will not reopen anywhere until the position of coordinator is filled.
