Ramona Jennex on the current school review process.

Parents, teachers and students have told us that the current school review process is not working. It’s isn’t putting the needs of students first.
New Democrats believe that schools are at the heart of our communities and have told me that a new process is needed that puts kids and learning first.
Nova Scotia’s first NDP government has put an end to this adversarial process of reviewing schools and asked school boards to stop closures.
Now, the NDP will work with Nova Scotians to build a better way to review our schools that ensures our students and communities are at the center of future decision making.
The NDP is listening and is making this change today so our schools can focus on what’s important—educating our children.
