John Belbin talked about The Silent World'by Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau with Frederic Dumas. Published in Great Britain by Hamish Hamilton Ltd, March 1953. Cousteau founded the French Navy's Undersea Research Group in 1945. He developed the Aqualung on his own time and created the world's first free divers, opening the oceans to ordinary people for the first time.
