No wonder post office use is tanking

Editorial:

I sent a CBC Radio  Information Morning calendar to my penpal - email pal? - Isobel in Mossblown, Scotland. The calendar included images of paintings Nova Scotians had created. Profits were donated to Feed Nova Scotia.

One of our nice postal workers helped me find an envelope which the calendar fitted into just right.

I could have air mailed the calendar for approx. $18.
I send it the cheaper way for approx. $10 near the end of November.

Yesterday I asked Isobel if she had received it.
No.
Today - January 24, she wrote, "Just a quick e mail to let you know that the calendar arrived just about an hour ago.It is really lovely. Also the Christmas card.Thank you."

Almost 60 days.
