Song of the Soul: Anthem of feminists
Jan. 24 Editorial: Song of the Soul - feminist anthem
A recent CBC Radio program featured a segment about Doris Anderson. She became publisher of the Canadian magazine Chatelaine in the 1960s.
She transformed it from a mag of recipes, fashion, and other topics which supposedly were the focus of womens to one addressing issues such as abortion and the role of women in politics.
The program also included a song which literally was the anthem of feminists in the '60s and '70s by
Cris Williamson. Here is the link. I would love to get the notes in the melody. I have Facebooked Cris. If you have any other ideas how can get it, I would be grateful. Then I can play it on my keyboard sing it.
